CARD INTERPRETATIONS
PLANETS IN THE ELEMENTS
The Planets are associated with different facets of ones personality or being. Each Planet has 4 cards (one for each element) in order to provide a more detailed interpretation. During a reading, these cards can speak of actions, motivations and the energy of a situation/person.
THE SUN
Key Words:
Self-expression, self-esteem, ego, motivation, drive, identity, needs
Pros:
Confident, Creative, Independent
Cons:
Selfish, Egotistical, Overpowering
As the Sun is at the centre of our solar system, the Sun in astrology will also represent the centre (or core) of a personality/situation. As the ‘planet’ that rules our egos and identity, the Sun depicts the root of our motivations and self-expression. In a reading the Sun cards will highlight the most prominent energy and depict the what’s driving the motivations of the surrounding cards. The element the Sun card is in will tell whether a situation is driven by emotions, logic, material gain or a need to assert oneself - or a combination of these! (as a few examples).
THE MOON

The Moon represents the emotional and subconscious. The habits we adopt and our way of being when nobody is watching. Like the phases of the Moon, our feelings are also constantly changing day by day. The Moon cards can be telling of the emotional component of a situation - whether a person is feeling confident, or in need of reassurance. The moon is also deeply associated with the mother, women and a persons home. Therefore these cards can also hint at what is going on at home, or with the relationships one has with women.
MERCURY

Thinking, Communication, Logic, Problem-solving, Intelligence, Writing, Siblings & Decisions.
Pros:
Clever, Funny, Informative
Cons:
Fidgety, Bored, Manipulative
Mercury is the planet that shows us the way we think, what interests us and our communication styles. Whether you are more introverted or extroverted, quick to make decisions or like to write pros and cons list. When these cards show up in a reading, they will most likely indicate an upcoming communication/conversation. Mercury cards can also illuminate the way someone is thinking about a certain topic - and provide insight into the best way to solve problems.
VENUS

Values, Love, Relationships, Resources, Luxury, Fertility, Art, Beauty, Harmony & Grace.
Pros:
Social, Affectionate, Attractive
Cons:
Greedy, Lazy, Possessive
Venus is generally known as the planet of Love. Relationships of all kinds are ruled by Venus, and this planet can tell much about how someone attracts and interacts with others. Venus cards are always a welcome card in a reading, as it points towards moments of kindness, grace and cooperation. However; values (whether ethical or material) and possessions are also ruled by Venus - meaning these cards will also speak of a persons spending and saving habits. Therefore, whilst generally a positive card, it can also hint towards finances - and whether one is being overindulgent, greedy and/or vain.
